View on Pre-electioneering campaign
What to say about this country's political domain? If I say that this country had a lot of unqualified political aspirants on highly coveted public positions would it mean that I'm generalizing or am I just seeing the transparent fact? If I say that almost all unqualified political aspirants are power-hungry corrupt tyrants, would I be lying if I said that indeed it's true and irrevocable otherwise? More so, if I also state that most of those good politicians this country had were easy tempted by anything provided there is money, power and influence involved would you believe me?
Well, I can't honestly prove these accusations right now despite this is already a known fact, but I can somehow provide concrete examples of these instances. However, let me get to my point straight first before this goes off topic. Right now "pre-electioneering" is starting to occur in this country despite the next national elections that would happen two (2) years from now. It seems that their wasting their money or better yet placed as people's money from taxes just for their faces to be seen on television commercials giving greetings for successful graduates, endorsing products so that their name and faces may be seen in print and billboard etcetera, etcetera. This is already happening and it's really quite disturbing. Why wouldn't these politicians start acting and do their basic jobs in making and enacting laws rather than showing their faces on television screens endorsing detergents and whitening pills! Would that help in improving the impoverished condition of the country or would that help them boost their public appearance to gather enough votes in the position that they’re aspiring?
Next point that I need to holler out is really the most nut-cracking news that I ever heard this week. Manny Pacquiao again is running for congress next elections! My God, didn't he learned that a lot of his Gen San constituents and a lot of Filipinos doesn't want him to be seated in any public office. What in the world would a non-lawyer or a non-degree holder in legal management and similar courses do in congress? Sit? Stare? Doodle? Yes, provided he now bears the high school equivalent diploma, that is not even enough to make and pass a bill that is highly written in English.
Okay, I understand his ideology on helping a lot of people, and he can do that without even being elected as congressman, but please never run in a corrupt and filthy position that the government offers. Being a congressional representative isn't a sign of stature in life in this country, it's a sign of corruption and I don't want to see your good name being bastardized and scandalized by it!
Filipinos wants reform, and I think reformation of the government would only happen if all the masses would vote for qualified nominees and not artists, athletes, singers, etcetera, etcetera, that doesn't have any degree and background on any pre-law courses, nor not even a lawyer. What will happen if these popular people again would be elected? Who would run the government? They're leech advisers? For heaven sake, I can't bear another one president seated for only two years, deposed, and now a convict for a crime everyone knows that he might have participated in but doesn't have full knowledge about it. More so, I can't bear another usurper to be the next president.

Where does the 500,000 Philippine pesos really came from?
Deputy Speaker Amelita Villarosa, the party's regional head, said that the P500,000 individually distributed to administration allies were sourced from KAMPI’s assistance fund.
I really don't understand why these so-called elected politicians brag about the 500,000 Philippine pesos cash gift to them. Truth be told, accepting cash gift or any another form of tangible gifts are prohibited in this country, and up to now their still arguing about its origin. This is really such a shame since, its been publicly done under the MalacaƱang Palace, the place where the highest official resides. So definitely what goes inside the said place, that person (the president) knows, right?
How ridiculous it would be if the public officials that you had elected play around with words, and state that no, the president doesn't know anything about it, just to cover her up on another scandal boiling up. So what happened if you received the said cash gift and you're just an independent candidate and not affiliated with KAMPI? Where does this money originated from? From KAMPI or the League of Governors or from another source?
She said that the funds were intended for medical missions and funerals. She also said that the amounts given varied. She said some congressmen receiving amounts as low as P5,000.
So again, politician do intend to fool a lot of their constituents right? Funds can only be given, if I wasn't mistaken to treasurers of the different municipalities, and not the governing congressman and governors themselves. And frankly speaking, it's quite dubious since the money was dissimenated prior to baranggay elections? So do you think we're going to catch your lousy explanations?

Former President Estrada: Free at last?

Yesterday, at around 4-5 in the afternoon an abrupt, and important announcement was made in the Palace of MalacaƱang where the president of the Republic of the Philippines resides. The sudden announcement aired in national television states that the former president, Joseph Ejercito Estrada, convicted of the crime plunder, was now given presidential clemency and hereby restores his civil status and his right to vote again given the fact that he will not run anymore to any electoral public office. Read news here
Presidential Clemency? Where in the so-called constitution can an ordinary citizen find that? As far as I know, the former disgraced president was removed from office by the people due to plundering the national treasury, was convicted by the court, and now what? He was free again, like an ordinary citizen! I just don't know if the executive branch really do have that absolute authority to rule over the judiciary system of the country. I'm now quite convinced that if you're a VIP in this country you can go away with anything.
I'm really not sure what to think of in this country. I just can't imagine they can do this, just to cover up the scandal brought about by the ZTE deal and the bribery of local government officials. Filthy politics rules here!

baranggay elections

Translation:
What you are seeing here is a sample of a campaign material of a baranggay councilor running for public office. The slogan's seems catchy right? I never thought that most baranggay councilors and chairman would use the same traditional tactics used by most local government officials (i.e. congressmen, mayors, ect.). It's really funny for me to use these slogans, though, I think they did their best just to be known through and by their constituents, however, why use the same slogans previously used by the traditional politicians? Don't they have any creative team to think of a better way to let your constituents know that they're running for a public office? It's such a shame, since I think such slogans can't even be fulfilled by just a mere baranggay official; just another toll to those promises made to be broken by a lot of politicians! More so, I've been wondering, how much does an elected baranggay official earns for serving the public? Can the baranggay treasury be able to met the promises made by these running councilors and chairman once they were elected? I do hope, we voters become more critical on how we chose the ones who will serve us, because I cannot bear anymore if they're going to be added to the list of politicians that tarnishes the system of government this country have.
P.S. I'm really sleepy upon writing this post, so if you found any grammatical error, typographical error, more so wrong translation, and the like please feel free to leave me a comment stating where you have found such error, and I'm willingly going to fix them.

ZTE Broadband; what's the deal?
Where in God's grace would the Philippine government get a huge amount of money amounting to more than 300 million dollars (read news here) for the said project, when it's still under fiscal crisis for the debts made previously were still unpaid up to now! You can just imagine that even the unborn residents of the infamous country, the one's still in the process of being sperminated, already had huge amount of debt on their shoulders. Even if the country exports more domestic helpers, it isn't enough to satisfy the GNP (Gross National Product) and GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of the said infamous country because half of the entire national budget would just end up in paying off national debts previously incurred, and one-fourth of the said budget will end up in the pockets of the so-called corrupt officials. So how in the world are they going to facilitate the country with a tight budget? Pass all of the expenses to the poor majority?
Gosh! Why in the world does Philippine Government officials so corrupt? Didn't they know that instead of making the lives of the whole community better they're making it even worst! I just can't comprehend why they need to over-price the said project, and ask a broadband company, that had prevalent criminal issues, according to Sen. Lacson in other countries, instead of choosing capable local companies that had also expertise in the said project at a cheaper cost.

philippine politics
more logical and practical issue - political campaign. As I do recalled, I said
that I despised our country's politics, and true to my words, I still hate it!
Yet, how come reflect on it? For a simple reason, political campaign season started.
The (in)famous president of the Philippines once said in her speech, the country
should have a new set of law-makers able to make the country progressive instead
of the old one's doing nothing but to distract the country's development. I do
agree with her, yet only to a certain extent. I can vote, and recycle some
old politicians, if I know he/she is credible enough to follow his/her own
conscience, act on his/her will and with no tarnish on his/her track record.
This is definitely not a discrimination by age, but a eye opener to some
few individuals who doesn't know how to exercise their vote wisely.
Would you like to elect a so-called politician even if he/she didn't graduated
from any reputable law school? Would you like to vote for a popular celebrity even
if you know he/she is not capable enough to become a law-maker? Would you waste
your vote to some old traditional politician who haven't done anything? Would
you wished to elect a law-maker even if you know a relative of that said politician
is already in the position that he/she is aspiring to? Would you like to vote
for an ex-mutineer who wished to distabilize the so-called peace and order?
Would you wished to waste your time on voting some politicians crossing over
political borders? Lastly, would you vote a politician with a stained track
record, and doesn't stand by his/her conscience? Of course, No would be your answer, and same as mine. However, uneducated one's, from the marginalized
population area, definitely don't think that way, instead the opposite.
Okay, given that scenario, which is definitely happening in our country, I say if
the said politicians win the coming national elections, then no progress would
occur. What would an elementary graduate do as a law-maker? To the Filipinos out
there you know who I'm taking about - Manny Pacquiao! Yes, he running for congress!
What would he do? For heaven sake. Aside from him, there are these celebrities,
graduates of arts and all, not law; how would they manipulate the country to
progress. Shocks... such a waste of vote for some trustworthy individuals!
More so, political dynasty of the few elites.
But why do they force themselves in such positions (e.g. congress and senate), not because they wanted to help the country, not because they wanted development, but because of the prestige being added to their name - honorable senator, honorable congressman. Aside from that, the unauditable millions they can have from being in that position - the pork barrel. Such a wonderful country where you pay such a huge amount of taxes that goes only to the pockets of these corrupt individuals. (Okay, some may not be corrupt, but can be influenced to become one).
And this is always what, we, the few educated ones wanted to from the very beginning
we voiced out our grievances. We wanted reforms from capable individuals, and not from idiots and puppets of the few elites and power hungry individuals. We wanted
progress to occur and not regression. Now, it's not big deal, why most of us
wanted to flee from this waste-of-a-country to go to a more civilized one!
